Stupid decals in towing and winch area

Like other reviews, looks great. The biggest minus is STICKERS! I bought this because the paint and finish went bad trying to remove those nasty stickers from the thing. I know it sounds petty, but the whole purpose was with the ascetics, and they destroyed it. For this reason I will no longer buy Reese products. Just stupid.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Upgrades available

Forged does not mean permanent.

Forged means worn tube. The black nickel finish is mottled. It took half an hour with a razor and thinner to get rid of the awesome mess of super sticky, hard to remove labels. Reese's name came up too, hee hee. I love how the hexagonal indentation and hexagonal base of Reese's eggs work together. Good idea.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Looks great when mounted on a vehicle

The Reese hitch looks great on a vehicle! Its black chrome finish is good, the only downside is that it will rust if left on the car during the winter months. If you don't have the winter months or weather, this would be the perfect hitch to get out of. The clutch rattles a bit, but it doesn't drive me crazy while driving. Especially when you have it loaded, it really doesn't rattle.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

The only 2 inch drop that only falls 2 inches. Everyone else falls more.

Love the design - needed a hitch with very low lift but high payload. Most have at least a 2" drop (even some advertised 2" drops have a measured value of 2 1/2 -3). ball seated) I have a 6000 lb torsion axle horse trailer that is very allergic to impact. This mount

Sturdy construction, one-key installation, aesthetic black nickel finish.

Exceptionally strong construction (sweat free which is my favorite), one key installation, aesthetic finish. If you're looking for a 2" ball mount, this is the one for you (there's also a 3" drop black nickel mount, but it's a bit lighter). If you want a different size (other than the 3" drop mentioned above) they don't have black nickel plating so you'll need to use powder coat, stainless steel or chrome plating (I'd still go with the Reese Towpower since I use the single turnkey installation…

Not a fan of that Reese Hitch. Too many games.

I am a fan of Reese clutches and have painted several clutches chrome and black. Bought this in "black anodized" to drive a new black car. I don't know if it's because it doesn't have an extra coat of black paint or extra mils from the chrome plating process, but it has a lot more free space in the receiver than the chrome or painted models. I pull a small boat and it rattles and moves in the receiver more than other Reese hitches I have. Not a fan of that. I would have returned it to Revane if

Consumer Grade Smooth Ball Mount

This is the second Reese Towpower Ball Mount I have purchased. This is an elegant looking mount, just like the mounts. Combined with the Reese Bullet, their connection is just a wrench. There are only three downsides. First, the sticker they put on sticks so well to the mount that they have to use it on spacecraft to protect them from re-entry. If you're not obsessed with looks, leave a sticker. The second downside is that like everything else, it's made in China. Third, it doesn't take long to
