🚗 Chrysler/Dodge Reese Towpower 78051 Regular Brake Control Wiring Harness Review

I purchased a Reese Towpower Brake Controller along with this wiring harness and it correctly matched the factory fork and the length was just right.

I used this wire harness to install the brake controller on a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. As a result, the installation process took less than 10 minutes. Installing the brake controller and hiding the wires took longer than hooking it up.

When I connected the first device it didn't light up. So I figured it was either a bad wiring harness or the brake control module. The second did the same. So I took it to an expert and he determined that the problem was a blown relay on my truck.

Although not visible in the photo, it has two connectors. #1 for brake control and #2 for factory suspension (on my load of a 2001 Dodge 1500 with a factory tow package). This basically eliminates the need to install wiring etc. The only way out, in my opinion.

2001 Dodge Ram 2500 2WD Cummins - Installed it in literally 10 seconds. Sooooo nice not having to run all the cables under the dash and turning over/injuring your back in the process. Definitely recommend this for any car they offer it in - the pre-wiring is great!

This product was ordered for plug and play application. Only one end has a connector that fits the car. The other side must be connected to the controller. According to the description, plugs are included. I sent it back thinking it was missing parts (because it wasn't in the original packaging) and received an identical part again. Bring them both back for another piece. If you visit the Reese website, they list custom car wiring harnesses there.
