Ideal for rain. No more getting out of the car to wipe the reflector. When it's very foggy outside, I still have to wipe it off because the reflector fogs up, but otherwise I don't get out of the car on a rainy day.

Our newly installed gate works very well until it rains. Drops of water collect on the reflector, refracting the sensor's light and tricking it into thinking the path is blocked. This simple, easy to fit cap will prevent water droplets from accumulating and the gate will function properly even in heavy rain.

Every time it rained my gate wouldn't work properly because the lenses of the reflector and the small receiver got splashed with water. This item is pretty easy to install. I had to cut a groove in the hood so I could route the wiring through the receiver side without disconnecting the wires. During the last rainy winter I had NO problems. This absurd looking little case protected the reflector and receiver from water droplets.
