REVISED REVIEW Good for TV and Video

I spent 1 1/2 hours getting this unit to show Region B - Europe - Blu Ray here in the US No instructions on how to make it works everywhere: I surfed all over the internet, went to the LG website, Bombay Video. Nothing. It was boxed and ready for a RETURN when I received an email from the Bombay seller with very simple instructions on how to do it. THE BLOCK - THANKS LG - IS GREAT. I love it! on Blu-ray players

Excellent DVD player. A true "region free" player. Most of my foreign DVDs aren't Blu-ray, so I don't have to fiddle with any settings to change the region code. It's that easy: Just insert it and play DVDs from home and abroad. I'm glad you can also watch foreign Blu-ray DVDs that come with clear instructions. It will do to your viewing pleasure what a stale hamburger will do to your hunger.

This player plays DVDs and Blu-rays, but it's like watching a show on TV without controlling what's happening. For example, this player does not have a zoom function. Image quality controls are provided in increments of four. Whether you want to control contrast, color, brightness or sharpness, you only have 4 settings for each function, leaving you stuck with 25% increments per function.
