Hawk Lapel Mic with Quick Release Adapter - Motorola APX6000 APX7000 XPR Radio (Black Tube) Review

This product is not perfect but 5 stars for me. Over the years the disadvantages have been reduced with the addition of common alignment, a stronger connection to the microphone and a UV resistant tube. However, the cable is still flimsy compared to shoulder mics that are sold. If you're happy with 1-2 years of cable life and know that everything else is great, this product is for you.

Terrible Product. The first stopped working after a week. Replaced with another one, but a month later it stopped working. When I asked for my money back they said it was too late to return it. They said I could only get it under warranty. So I ran out of $100 and all I can do is get someone else I don't trust so I don't quit my job again. I won't risk my life for this because twice now no one could hear me on the radio. Very unlucky!

The item came second hand. It was already dirty when unpacked. Some packages weren't even protected. For almost $100 I want my product to be new. I have had the item for less than a week. I had to replace the screw that holds the clip to the radio because the one that came with it was junk. I plan to use this product 5 days a week and hope it lasts. From what I've seen so far, I won't buy it again. I work in law enforcement and need something robust that's guaranteed to work every time.

I bought it on June 12, 19 and it stopped working in early December 2019. The problem I have is that the sound is distorted, appears and disappears. When the audio isn't distorted, I have to turn up the volume to hear people whispering. I changed the earpiece with my partner and it worked great. I wanted to make sure my radio didn't go bad. This is a 100% must have for law enforcement. I have been using this unit for over four years and all I had to do was replace the plug that goes into your radio and that replacement was a PTT button adapter upgrade. Second time buying from Revain. Just because I bought one for my husband. I've been using this brand for 15 years but bought direct from the company. I love it. It takes some getting used to as it's a lot smaller than the standard mic that comes with radios. I like the quick release because it makes going to the toilet easier.
