Love the feel of the parts and components

Love the feel of these grips with and without gloves. Only time will tell about durability, but first impressions are very good. The seller was (Trail This) and the item arrived well packaged and on time. I have provided photos to show what the Kevlar version looks like in the sun.

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • Fits

Good grip but too thin

Pretty good grip but too thin for my taste. I prefer more cushioning and a little more grip. I tried them after finding the Red Monkey Karvs too slippery. Our units have worked well in the past, but the clasps aren't outstanding and the claspless type can be finicky for a secure fit. Next I try Ergon GA2 Fat.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Good Grips - Bars, Headsets & Stems

I used the motorcycle version of these grips and loved them so I put them on my DH bike. This is a small diameter handle with a slightly flat diamond pattern (no waffle). So if you prefer a larger diameter grip, it probably isn't for you. I didn't have the hardware issues that other reviewers complained about. The compound is soft and grippy, while the motorcycle ones last forever and feel softer when worn. Due to the translucent composition, they will get dirty if that bothers you.

Pros
  • Very Impressive
Cons
  • Upgrades Available

Collar too big - interferes with Shimano shifter when shifting up

I wish I had installed them sooner to realize they wouldn't work with my Shimano 12 speed XT rapid fire shifter. The collar diameter is too large and the rapid fire switch trigger binds/hangs on the grip and collar when shifting. At first I thought there was something wrong with my switch, but no. Simply glued to the handle. Turning the handle doesn't help. You either have to move the shifter outward (where the shift pad overlaps the narrower "palm" part of the grip, or mount the shifter clipโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Better than Troy Lee ODI.

I've been using ODI Lock On on my bikes for as long as I can remember. But late last year while building a new enduro bike, I read an article on Pinkbike about these new grips. The article mostly talked about the Renthals heritage of quality manufacturing and the 'stickiness' of these grips due to the addition of Kevlar to the rubber. Both aspects turned out to be very accurate. I've used these grips for about 500 miles now paired with a Renthal Fatbar and Renthal Stem. I've never felt a better

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Some issues
