My original RC 1196 volume control no longer works. It seems to be a known issue with this remote as mentioned in another review here. With this replacement, I no longer have to go to my receiver to adjust the volume!

This was an exact replacement. The original seemed to still work. The volume up/down buttons were very slow. So I found this at a very good price. I was actually surprised at how cheap it is. No, we're back with brand new features and enjoying our Denon receiver. My wife has hearing problems so the volume buttons didn't work. During the day we listen to Pandora through a Bose Acoustamass speaker system, so the ability to quickly change the volume is very important to me.
