So far so good: fuel pumps and accessories

This was a direct replacement for my 99 VW Beetle with the 2.0 engine. I read other reviews about the gas gauge not working but couldn't get over the price compared to the auto parts store. So far I've used 2 tanks of gas and everything is fine. Everything works as it should. If anything happens I'll update this review.

It doesn't work optimally, can't see the throttle level, but the car has

The only reason I refuse is that the float doesn't work properly. My husband will try to restore it. But easy to install and works except we have no idea how much gas is in the car. Will most likely have to buy again. If it doesn't work, bad again

Make sure the transmitter float has a stopper to prevent the pins from coming loose from the board.

I replaced the working pump and it worked until I filled the tank and the sensor lost connection as the part was purchased at a discount due to damage to the box. It's just a little crazy to waste an entire hour losing some gas for change. Now I have to redo everything and guess why I'm sending an intentionally defective part. I had to learn from my own bitter experience.

So far so good, especially for the price!

So far I am very impressed with the purchase. The fuel pump housing on my son's 2003 Jetta broke at the fuel line fitting. After evaluating the replacement, this was the best pure housing offer. I was shocked when it came with the fuel pump. I figured for sure that I would have to pull on it and switch the pump on. That's why I waited a few months for a review. But the pump pumps, the car drives normally.

DO NOT BUY!: Spare parts

DO NOT BUY! I installed this in my Volkswagen and my gas sensor stopped working. So I replaced the old one with the new one and my sensor worked. Changed again - doesn't work. My red light was supposed to be there but the car started so I decided to leave it. I wrote a review explaining this and never heard from them. Now, after a little more than a week of standstill, the fuel pump has failed and I'm standing in the rain. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM! You get what you pay for. Not a happy customer.
