My wife's left speaker exploded. You can check this by going into settings and swiping the scale from left to right. It should also work with headphones. She felt bad. I thought I just ordered the left one but both sides came. A TORX screwdriver is required to remove the cover. You can get a kit from (something like) Tzenzau for less than $20. These are a direct replacement for our fancy Apple speakers. After 7 years of daily use, the left speaker failed. At the same time, the speakers and the battery were changed. Be sure to lift the speakers and don't pull them out when you separate them! I almost cut our ties, oops. Replaced both speakers on my MacBook Pro 2103 and both work fine. Only time will tell how durable they are. Definitely a lot better than the crackling I heard from the original speakers.

Easy to install but not the best sound quality (sheet metal). 8/28/21 update The right side is already broken and the speakers have poor sound quality overall with very low volume. I connected my MacBook to Alexa via Bluetooth for audio listening and control.

I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to replace my original crackling speakers with these. They worked as soon as I plugged them in and didn't require any software or setup. Sound quality is good but not as loud as before.

Just replace the right speaker. Left is a little harder, but not impossible. The biggest problem is that very small screws break off with little or no effort, making the process difficult.

I ended up just replacing the burned out left speaker as it's much quieter than the OEM (2015 13" MacBook Pro Retina). I adjusted the balance so it didn't sound too weird and annoying, but they did are cheap and fit. It's a really easy install but you will need your own tools. Please remember to disconnect the battery first. Too much hassle with returning Revain so I'm keeping it to myself.

for the price just great, initially perfect, easy to install after opening the laptop and they've been working great for 1 month, we'll see how they behave anyway, my previous speakers were completely broken, so an improvement for a small price.

Good price - almost identical to the original Mac, the left speaker cable was a bit long but still worked. The rubber pad around the speaker is a little wobbly and if it isn't perfectly aligned the speaker won't perform well.
