Absolutely terrible.

I have an original Shure needle to compare and tried it in different shells, thing sounds TERRIBLE. Just unforgivably bad bass distortion, totally unusable. Day and night difference between OEM needles and these. Too bad maybe I'm crap, their ratings are high. My turntable is set up correctly and the OEM stylus in the exact same shell/cartridge sounds crystal clear compared to this piece of gloomy shit. Never again. What a waste of money.

Pros
  • 0.7 mil tapered diamond tip for high fidelity
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Suitable for m44 series.

I have had a Shure m44-g since 1999 and it died last week. He's worked pretty hard for the past two decades. Little did I know that Shure had discontinued the m44 series and gone out of business. Unfortunately I found a way to revive my pickup as I don't like the orthophone at all. I did a lot of research and Jico is the best Hi-Fi company that continues to make styluses for the m44 series. M44-7 and M44-G share the same head. So if you put m44-7 on the m44-g shell, it will be m44-7. I like how

Fantastic replacement for OG Shute 447

First I will answer the "big question". Absolutely fantastic replacement for a GENUINE Shure 447. I was very dismayed to read that they were going to stop making needles. I thought it was the end for her; You'll have to switch to Ortofon Yellow/Blue club needles or, worse yet, convert. There was rampant inflation and frankly extortionate prices. Then JICO jumped in and filled the gap for us. Hell, they even released a glow-in-the-dark kit (great for dimly lit booths). The ONLY thing I don't…

Pros
  • Made in Japan, genuine JICO stylus, each stylus has been tested for quality and sound
Cons
  • Long delivery time
