Great Lighting for Reptile Terrarium

Using this product our team found that the lighting coverage was perfect for our reptile's terrarium. The halogen technology really improved the color spectrum of the light and made the terrarium look more natural .Plus, the heat emitted from the spotlight was just enough for our reptile to bask comfortably without overheating. We highly recommend these lights for anyone looking to improve their reptile`s habitat. The only con is that they might be a little pricier than other pet supplies in…

Pros
  • Provides a full spectrum of light necessary for the health and well-being of reptiles.
Cons
  • May not last as long as some other types of reptile lights on the market.

"Great Heat Source for Reptiles

Based on our own experience, this terrarium heat lamp has BEEN fantastic for our reptiles. The halogen spectrum provides a natural sun-like brightness which promotes good health and proper growth. The heat generated from the lamp helps regulate the temperature of the terrarium without drying out the environment. The only con we have found is that the lamp is slightly more expensive than some other heat sources on the market. Overall we highly recommend this product as an effective heat source…

Pros
  • Provides optimal spectrum and color temperature for reptiles' health and natural behavior
Cons
  • May heat up the terrarium too much if not used with a thermostat

100 watts only made an 85 degree bathing spot

Got this at 100 watts for my nile monitor's 40 gallon aquarium. The lamp is very weak and does not generate the heat that the electricity should generate. The warm-up temperature only reached 85 degrees. Typically a 100w bulb will heat up around 110-115 degrees in this tank. I don't know what to do with the onions now because they aren't hot enough for all the reptiles I have. The 50w bulbs that I bought from another brand get hotter than the 100w bulbs.

Pros
  • reptiles and amphibians
Cons
  • Useless features
