And ignore Rob's "best review" saying he doesn't understand what Gary is talking about; his pockets appeared to be airtight. Still trying to figure out why 'print quality' and 'adhesion' are things to judge plastic bags by. :-) But it is neither here nor there. These bags did their job well. A straw is included so you can suck the air out of the bags before closing them. Of course, this works best if you zip the bag up to the straw at the end of the zipper and press it firmly against the straw while sucking out the air, then pull out the straw and zip up.
