The product came in very messy packaging. Apparently it was in use. The suction at the base did not work. A chip in the paint. Didn't go any further. so i returned the product immediately. The return was very quick. Thank you! I appreciate speed.

Works very well. The only downside is that it is very difficult to remove the drum for cleaning as it is very tight after use and there is no easy way to unscrew it.

The model I received was defective. The rubber base, intended to be sucked to the tabletop with a lever, folds under the metal as the lever is turned, preventing suction. Buyers beware, it's hit or miss!

Shaped like a tank. Very heavy and very durable with suction floor included. All metal and made in some Eastern European country I think (I didn't decipher the inscriptions on the box, but definitely not from Asia). The body is porcelain over metal, and the three cylinders of the grater for the cylinder itself are stainless steel, but the sticks look like some kind of metal pot. I really liked this - the first time I used it to grate a lot of cheese - it worked like a charm. The suction kept the grater on the counter well. It's hard work and I got a massive batch of cheese pretty darn fast. Then why two stars? The handle screws clockwise onto the cylinder. You rub by turning the handle clockwise. The torque pushes the handle tighter and harder against the cylindrical grater. So tight I can't take it off. I've tried using one of those rubber washers I use to open jars…
