Have realistic expectations!

I read tons of reviews online before buying, I wasn't expecting a motorcycle quality radio, I was expecting a Chinese radio with some issues. The first one I got had a broken GPS, the radio was replaced and all is well. The hardware has a lot of potential with firmware updates that will hopefully come over time, and there are definitely a number of bugs, mostly just mildly annoying ones. The software leaves a lot to be desired and is the weakest link. It will take trial and error to program itโ€ฆ

Recent contact list required

This is the same radio that Radiodiddy sells but I cannot rate Radiodiddy. With an updated contact list of about 200,000, all contact information appears on the display. This radio is worth it for that alone. The new firmware update also fixes a few things. Easy programming but I need to set up a group to make it work with my access point. You must also use "on" for the hotspot slot. Works well with repeaters and analog. The audio is excellent. It only has one knob so you have to press the topโ€ฆ

Pretty good radio, best in CB and radios

This is a good radio. Seems to do what it says. APRS modulation can be a bit shaky. It seems my Kenwood and Yaesu don't like to decode it directly, but Digi solves it. So when it goes through digipeater I see the position on my HT. I honestly bought it mainly for use as a 25W APRS Beacon so I'm a bit disappointed with it but looks like a good radio for analog and DMR. Also, they seem to be rolling out some firmware updates, so that's promising. I like the length of the microphone cableโ€ฆ

Not quite ready for regular ham radio

This radio has potential. This is a true mini mobile, so small it's the size of a steering head (removable faceplate). It's a real draw despite only having 20W RF output. This works very well for DMR usage. It has a very small display that would be hard to see in a car, and its analogue FM operation is annoying. The radio is intended for commercial/business/government service, not the US amateur radio community. It does not have part 90 stickers, but it is transferred there. But it supportsโ€ฆ
