As some others have said, this check valve failed soon, and in my case immediately. The low-pressure fuel pump raised the pressure in the engine's fuel rail to just 35 psi, and when the pump shut off, the back flow of fuel immediately ruptured the inside of the check valve, causing the gauge to drop to zero immediately instead of staying at 35 psi inches. After removing the check valve you could see the clean inside of the check valve as the insides are gone probably now in the engine fuel rail

I installed this on my Jeep XJ fuel injector as an anti-backflow fuel injector. I placed it just in front of the fuel rail where it looks like there is a rubber hose there. There is a plastic hose underneath this rubber hose, so don't cut it unless you have a 5/16 fuel line on hand to swap out. But that's all I did was cut the plastic portion of the fuel line and put in a new 5/16 rubber fuel hose to install this unit. I can say it definitely made a difference. I put this check valve in a plastic hose that goes from the condensate pump to the sink. The condensate pump removes water from the gas stove and air conditioner condenser by pumping clean water to the sink, where a plastic hose runs about 20 feet long. The first 7 feet after the condensate pump have vertical plastic tubing. As a result, I wanted to prevent clear water backflow from backflowing into the pump after it stopped pumping condensate.
