Updated - still great product / great price

Ordered 1000 5 volts and tested everything with HolidayCoro 16 channel controller. Work very well. Cut the connectors and solder the pigtails for my mega tree for the Christmas show. Highly recommended. The cost is about half that of most competitors. I used my original order for Christmas 2017 and 2018. Very durable. Very bright. When I actually lowered the brightness to 50% via my controller and they were still very bright. I will be ordering more for 2019.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Doesn't go with everything

I bought 6 sets and all 3000 worked. China), but all worked fine. The spacing between the lights is nearly 3 inches, and each of the 10 strands is about 12.5 feet long. I have replaced the supplied plugs with waterproof plugs. I use Vixen Lights software (free) to program my sequences. I use a $20 12V/360W PSU and a $20 ESPixelStick to power them. Everyone says you can work on Ledge pixels for less than $200 this Christmas, but it looks like you spent $1,000.

After a year of heavy use

I used a 300 chain every day (10 hours a day) in an art installation for almost a year. I power them with a 5V-20A power supply and control them with a Blinkin Labs PLC. They perform a 19-minute multicolored show over and over again. They're not a bad value for what they are. In the beginning they were perfect. With such intensive use, two LED lamps eventually failed. One LED shows 100% red no matter what it's told (the green and blue components respond to the controller. The second LED doesn't

Great pixels at a great price

Great quality for the price. Well done pixels. I had another brand for the same price but with a lower quality case and the pixels were often off-center. The Rextin brand looks like it was made with extra care. I am very happy. I use them for my holiday light shows (Halloween and Christmas). So in this case the matrix display (characters) and the outlines of the windows in my house. Also, I drilled some holes in the 2 x 4 to light the cross I made to hang on the chimney. The lighting in the…

The software is incomprehensible bullshit.

Although the preset programs worked fine and the controller functions worked, you need to install LED EDIT 2012 or newer (in fact 2014 was the only one with this model specifically listed) , and if you've never encountered terrible interfaces, get ready. First, you can't find an official software distributor, so rely on patchy download sites to even get the latest version. , because the version on the SD card has a bad installer for DotNetFX. The API makes very little sense and you can't…

WS8211 DC 5V stranded wire

Good product at a good price. This is for a 5V powered filament Installation: 5V/3A wall battery attached to power strip, UNO and Neopixel library and in some sketches. They worked without any problems. Fastled - #define LED_TYPE WS2812B or like WS2811 (both worked with this band) #define COLOR_ORDER GRB - Fix for this band #define NUM_LEDS 50Neopixel - Would not work if set to 400KHz or RGB. // Parameter 1 = number of pixels in the strip // Parameter 2 = pin number (most of these are valid) //

Not ideal for holiday lighting lovers

These are WS2811 pixels, but there are a few issues that make them less than ideal for people making holiday lighting with xLights or Vixen and trying to use them with Coro props .1) Pixel pitch advertised as 4 inches but this clearly includes the length of the wire inside the epoxy. Most hobbyists measure the length from the outside of the pixel/epoxy. So you have to "stretch" them quite a bit to make the jumps expected of the Coro props. In an even worse scenario, you'll have to cut/solder to

Super fun year-round permanent Christmas lights! Bright!

I bought 2000 of these lights a year ago and installed them permanently in my home. I basically followed the video guide I found online from DrZzs on YouTube. I recommend the 12 volt version instead of the 5 volt version. These are very bright lights. Out of the 2000 lights I received, only one pixel stayed red no matter what color it was supposed to be. Inserting a new pixel is easy, just be careful to keep the right direction. IMPORTANT INFORMATION ***** They only work in one direction! *****

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • May damage
