Perfect fit for my large fishing kayak

Fits my large (12ft, 85lbs, 36in wide) fishing kayak very well. Easy to install and the straps that come with it are very well made. Extra points for rubber buckles! Just a word of caution, don't lose the key that comes with the stand installation kit. Although it looks like a regular hex key, it is not and a standard hex key will not work in its place.

Economical solution

Perfect for my purpose of housing my OC1 outrigger canoe. They went well enough, but the socket head screws were a little annoying. They have a post in the center of the screw so you can only install them with the included hex key which doesn't fit very well. Otherwise they are great. I get a good secure fit on the body of my OC1 and the pressure is distributed very well over it. Definitely the perfect investment.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Good enough. in roof racks

They're good enough to carry a 17-foot Old Town canoe upright on a Yakima sport trailer. The bindings suitably conform to the shape of the canoe hull, which is their main purpose. For the most part, the canoe remained stable on the trailer, even when towing it over bumpy country lanes, the trailer canoe had little to do. As is usual with Rhino Rack products, the quality of the included hardware leaves a lot to be desired.

Outstanding quality, great price and installation flexibility

Surprisingly strong product. A set of rear pads allows our kayaks to slide smoothly and easily with no resistance. Fitted my Rage Powersports Areo crossbars with no problems. The tether straps are made of high quality webbing with high quality camlock buckles. The instructions are a bit vague but once you start working with it it becomes very clear how to assemble and assemble. The only (minor) difficulty was with the hex head mounting screws, which use a hex wrench (supplied), but sometimes…

Looks great, works like a charm

These things are awesome! Low profile but insanely durable - got them a few days ago and have already put over 200 miles in a 60lb kayak. No problem. They go well with the Yamika Q Tower round handlebars, even if it doesn't seem like it at first glance (the mounts are pretty flat). Overall I am very satisfied; You don't have to worry about your expensive boat flying in the wind. The straps they come with are great, no need to use bungee cords or anything. The only downside is that these small…

Beware of this product.

Please note that this item belongs to Autoplicity and they are not responsible for your product. The saddles were fine, but tightening the hex bolts was problematic and caused problems which resulted in my wife having to tighten them on a step stool while riding the Rt. 95 in me. After a lot of "chat" we sent the item back to Autoplicity (I paid for the return shipping), they accepted the item on 10th September and then said they couldn't accept the item because it was used. How does anyone…

ONLY for narrow kayaks, NOT for sit-top kayaks

This carrier only fits narrow kayaks, NOT for sit-top kayaks. Especially dangerous for two-seater kayaks. Does not work for Emotion brand kayaks. But I think this item would be great for a narrow fiberglass single seater ocean kayak. The reason for this is that the two pieces (left and right side) may not be wide enough to securely hold a wider kayak. (unless you have a wide SUV. I have a Toyota 4Runner and my crossbars are wide enough for a kayak but not for this clamp. Also check the box…

Perfect kayak loading system for unassisted transport

I bought these to mount on a Mazda 5's Inno Square Bar roof rack attached to the crossbar. After a lot of research I found these Nautic Series 570 saddles. They are exactly what I was looking for. Pros: Easy and quick to install. You can leave one side of the connecting screw threaded and then finger tighten the second screw as it is placed on the cross member. Once connected they are securely fastened and the flexible pad forms a shape on the kayak for a secure fit without creating a loosening

  • Quality construction

Excellent Product

This product's stand (or carry case) is exactly what you need - well designed, well made and you trust your expensive boat. Just as importantly, the four straps that come with it are the best quality you could ask for. They're long enough, have a great locking mechanism, and won't scratch your (even) more expensive car. Although I have given this product a five star rating, there is one downside and that is the installation. You may find these tips helpful: • Getting in with screws can be…
