Worked exactly how I needed it. Took out the old Xbox drive and installed this with no problems. Plays discs as before and now I can play old games I haven't been able to play for about 6 months. Worth the money, just pay attention to the installation video.

Too bad it doesn't work after installation. I followed the instructions exactly and went step by step. I've repaired my Xbox a few times now and have never had problems like this. Not sure if I got the bunk bed or something but in the end I was disappointed that my game console is still broken. The only reason there is no star as the instructions were fantastic and easy to follow.

I replaced the disc drive on my old Xbox One because it could no longer read the disc. I did the installation using YouTube and online tutorials. I received this unit but unfortunately it did not fully retract the drive. I contacted the seller and he sent a replacement. I bought it in the summer but only yesterday I had to replace the discs. Worked as described, my son was able to start the system and play games right after the repair. There was no foam in the kit like in the photo. If you are replacing this product, you must also replace the green motherboard in the drive with your console's original motherboard OR OTHER THIS DO NOT PLAY GAMES. Be sure to.
