High Quality Smokeless Heater

Rinnai manufactures quality products. Set it up at 4,000 feet. Keeps woman warm and happy while she studies! .Bought Rinnai products for many years without any problems, no repair experience as never had to repair!

This unit was impeccable

We added this heater to bring down the temperature in a cold basement. 10,000 BTU is the perfect size to complement the downstairs thermostatic oven. Our basement was always 8-10 degrees cooler than the first floor, this heating has turned it back into a cozy living space. Safe and reliable.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance

  • Doubtful

Excellent, unobtrusive, quiet, efficient gas heater

I purchased this product on the recommendation of a plumber I had hired to install an independent gas fireplace in an unheated room in my waterfront home. I'm glad I did. This device is much smaller and unobtrusive, has a thermostat, and is virtually silent except for a slight click when the ignition is turned on. He took a room that was unusable in the winter and turned it into the same large room I have in the summer.

Warm as toast! for propane heaters

This is an excellent product that really keeps the room warm and is absolutely silent. Love it. The only disappointment is that the thermostat is at the very bottom of the heater near the floor, so it doesn't give an accurate room temperature reading when the floor is drafty. Too much to turn on and off. But if you just turn it on and let go, it works great. It's my family room, with windows on three sides, a high ceiling and earth bracing against the wind behind it, hot and warm even when the…

It's good for preventing pipes from freezing.

shutdown mode. This is good for preventing pipes from freezing. In the "L” setting, it turns on and off automatically. There is no need to set the temperature to 60F when you are not using the space. This thing sips propane with a 7-stage gas valve. The only downside is that you need electricity to run the heater. The power consumption is about 20W when it is on and working. Note to those in California that your propane/gas company may not wire this for you as California building codes require…

Very unhappy with heating, cooling and air quality

I have had another unvented gas heater in my garage for 5 years now and it is starting to emit carbon monoxide. Wanting something that would last more than a few years, I switched to this model. Unfortunately, this device gave me nothing but trouble. He went offline with a code 12 and my HVAC guy called their helpdesk. We were told that our meter would need to be upgraded to accommodate the gas flow for this installation. After another 400 charges from the gas company to update the meter and…

Wish it had a remote control

My main reason for 4 stars is the lack of a remote control. Then I could turn it on from my bed and get up when the room is warm! Another issue is that I bought this unit to fit in a previously purchased fireplace cabinet. While it fits, the controls at the top are about an inch+ from the top of the case. I've tried using a mirror and a flashlight to program it, but no dice. Thank goodness it has a flexible metal gas line! I ended up having to bring it to life, put it on the floor, read a book,

Great heater! For its weight in gold.

I don't usually write many reviews but I wanted to write about this heater. little rinay. The remote control failed on a 12 year old heater and it was expensive to replace everything. I bought the smaller Rinnai and was a little worried it wasn't big enough for my sundeck. Boy was I wrong. My sunny porch is 12L x 16H x 8H with 2 skylights and double glazed windows. The temperature is 28 degrees and the wind is blowing at 15 miles per hour. The room was 41 degrees when I turned it on. For half…
