Purist Cotton Tape

Traditional Velox tape shifts over time. I used those stupid expensive plastic plugs. These zipper strips are the best option. Just stick something in the valve hole to align it when you put it on the rim.

Pros
  • Rim Tape
Cons
  • Operating Speed

Difficult installation

It took me two tries to get this rim tape installed correctly and I also had to borrow an extra pair of hands. It's definitely a snug fit, so I don't think it's going to slip or slide like traditional rim tape. It seems very durable but I only installed it for one ride so it's too early to judge its durability.

Pros
  • Wheels and accessories
Cons
  • Tape

IF YOU HAVE A 27 " WHEEL BUY A 700CC SIZE!

WARNING: IF YOU HAVE A TRADITIONAL 27" WHEEL DO NOT BUY THE LISTED 27.5. Expecting that they would fit comfortably it turned out they weren't. Eventually I ordered a 700cc and I bought this for the 27" wheels on my vintage race bike. The quality is good given the right size buys..Stretch them by putting them under your feet and pulling with your hands before trying to adjust them or you will feel bad.I once used a mechanical pencil to poke through the valve stem hole and the band set it the way

Pros
  • Sports
Cons
  • Exorbitant Price
