Exactly what I was looking for!

My SUV doesn't have cross bars and I needed something to protect the roof of my car when I move my paddle boards. This is exactly what I've been working on and my trips to the lake with boards have been hassle free!

Efficient yet tricky

Easy to use and much cheaper than installing a roof rack. However, if you have a roof rack then this is even better for supporting your paddleboard - be careful, there is a very fine line between safety and a dent on your car's roof. especially at freeway speeds.

  • Hands-free operation

Very handy to have on hand.

I used it a lot for my surfboard. So convenient to have and easy to use. Even if you don't have your own board and are just renting, I would recommend this as the savings on rack rental pays off after a few uses. durable storage bag. I kept it in the plastic bag it came in which will go bad.

  • Elegant design

Great set for moving 2 boards!

It was a gamble because I read that some people wrote that the straps weren't strong enough for highway use. I used this kit to install a 12" and 9ft SUP to my car while cruising the track at speeds up to 65mph for 30mins + 60mins. I was nervous, but the boards were stuck and didn't move an inch. The straps held tight and the foam blocks were fine. They were just as tight when I arrived as they were when I got behind the wheel.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Works well for us kayaking

I bought this for my wife to add SUP to her sedan. It has vertical issues and had trouble fitting it to my larger SUV. It helps her a lot that she can tie the mount to the board and then lift both onto the car instead of trying to mount the SUP onto the mount that is already attached to the car. It is stable enough for short city trips. I'm not sure I'll be comfortable driving on the freeway for any length of time with the seat belts present, but it's fine for our purposes. READ BEFORE BUYING! BELIEVE NO BELT!

I think this product has a lot of potential but I have a serious problem with the straps that come with it. After following all the instructions I installed the paddle board on the roof and after 10 minutes of riding after accelerating to 45 mph the paddle board moved back. When I tried to pull, the whole board came off the roof of the car. I almost had an accident and nearly lost my $900 board. The front strap with metal collar is completely loose. The rear clamp seems fine. I'm not sure ifโ€ฆ

Great budget option for boards

I've used it about 5 times already for my 10ft 5 SUP board on my old 2004 Toyota Corolla. This is a cheaper option for a roof rack. The clasp is a solid all-metal piece. The straps look ok. I drove on the freeway at speeds of up to 68 miles per hour. I had two large tractor trailers that went past my car at 60 mph and created a strong gust of wind that pushed my car but the board wouldn't budge. I have a very soft roof and when I tighten the seat belt the roof temporarily dents. I do notice the
