🚦 Multicolor Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Roadmaster 88400 Review

have not used this as my particular vehicle's braking system did not require it, this is for optional trailing brake systems which move the brake pedal, a system I have installed do not move the brake pedal

I bought it in case I needed it after installing the hitch but I returned it because the tow plug I bought did all the power connections.

Used on 2018 F-150. It was a bit of a hassle to disassemble the dash to get to the brake light switch and it had to be tied to the tow hitch tail light wire. Useful to know while wiring was connected. I didn't, and I had to redo some of this wiring. I think I should have read all the instructions for all the parts before installing.

The Roadmaster Brake Light Relay is a great addition to our towing system. In the past we had to attach a magnetic tow light to our CRV using the wireless transmitter on the RV's tow port (this usually worked). After a day or more of towing, I had to remember to charge the lightbar. Now this whole process is eliminated and the lights/indicators on the CRV are in sync with MotorHome.

I had a problem installing the RVI 3 Brake System on my tow vehicle and the tow vehicle's brake lights were interfering with the tow vehicle's brake lights as both activated when both vehicles braked. This relay isolates the towed vehicle's brake lights so they are only active when the key is on in the towed vehicle. This means that the headlights of both vehicles are only activated by the towing vehicle when driving in towing mode. It seems to be working great now.
