Measure, measure, measure!

Be sure to measure carefully. 1mm can make a big difference depending on whether your shim kit will fit. Luckily my measurements were accurate and the kit worked great.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • is enough

Measure all devices upon receipt!

The through pin is the correct length but the spacers were 1mm smaller. The RS mounting kits did not have this problem, so this may be a one off issue. Solved with some extra washers but not a clean install.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

Equipment required to upgrade MTB shocks

Upgrade from 2009 coil shock to air shock. The hardware supplied with the new damper did not match the distances on my "classic" frame. This gear kit is just what I need to fit my new shock into my old frame. The set is made from high quality alloys, machined and polished to exacting tolerances. I am very happy.

Pros
  • Value for money
Cons
  • Obsolete

I have a very old supergo weyless bike. I bought a 2015 version of Rockshock Monarch SL. I didn't know the new shocks had 1/2" tabs, so I bought hardware. I went to several bike shops but no one wanted to help me. I have emailed Sram for customer service and they are not interested in helping me find what I need either. So I kept shopping until I found this item. I knew it was going to be long for my frame so I cut 2mm off the adapter and 1mm off the spacers. now it fits and works great.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

NOT SUITABLE FOR FOX SHOCK ABSORBERS!

These spacers have a small rubber ring that is fitted separately into the fox mount. This ring is aluminum built into the spacer and is too thick to fit in the fox sleeve. DO NOT ATTEMPT to install them or you could damage your bike, frame and shock by fiddling with it and squeezing the shock - it almost fits, but hardly quite. My attempt failed, even if I bought a size smaller, thinking the spacer would change size - no - I ended up scraping and scratching the frame - and possibly damaging…

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Broadly ok, but...
