Description of 🧣 Rocky Thermal Underwear for Boys: Ultimate Base Layer Set for Skiing and Extreme Cold Weather

Fleece. Machine Wash. NO MORE OLD-SCHOOL SCRATCHY INSULATED UNDERWEAR: Traditional cotton long underwear are simply scratchy and uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time, Rocky thermals are made from a soft, comfy polyester blend so you can enjoy all-day comfort, and your winter adventures never have to end. FLEECE-LINED COMFORT (WITHOUT THE BULK): Don’t let the lightweight fabric fool you, thanks to the fleece-lined design, this thermal underwear set gives you high-quality warmth that fans say keep them warmer than traditional puffy thermals or wool base layers that leave you feeling strangled or trapped. NO MORE AWKWARD ADJUSTING THANKS TO ELASTIC SEAMS: Check out the pictures and see how this boy’s thermal underwear set is crafted using elastic seems that keep tops and bottoms from falling down or bunching up (even on long walks to school), and if your family enjoys skiing, snowboarding, or ice skating then Rocky makes a great base layer -- but without the sagging and ‘awkward adjustments’. MACHINE WASHABLE FOR EASY CLEANUP: While cheap Thermal Underwear unravel in the washing machine after only a few cycles, Rocky uses high-quality stitching for thermal leggings and long sleeve shirts that stand up to the washer -- even with super-active days and many muddy adventures.

I like the product though - nice thick fleece with a smooth surface.

They are very small. Even looking at the size chart they run small so I would recommend going a size or two up. I have a large size for my skinny 12 year old but I don't think extra large would be enough for him. No XXL. After the exchange we'll see. Love the product - nice thick fleece with a smooth face so it can slip over clothes when wearing and not snag on outerwear.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • No power

Inexpensive base layer for kids, cozy and warm

I originally bought the large because other reviews said it ran small. My son usually wears an 8/10 and is very slim. The big one was huge but the middle one was just right. We kept both sets so he can grow to a large size because he loves those thermals. He sleeps in them and says they are very soft and comfortable. They also had the sky and they warmed it. A few loose stitches, but nothing prevents him from wearing them until he grows up. Great price for a baby underwear.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes

Not for use as a "base layer " in sports underwear

I purchased this item to use as a base layer in sports underwear for my kids to wear under their hockey gear. This item had a description of its use as "underwear" in sports, which led me to purchase it for that purpose. However, upon receipt of this product it was quite obvious that this was not sports underwear (compression or otherwise) but thermal underwear for very cold weather. This is NOT suitable for wearing under hockey gear or for any other sporting activity. The product description…

Great value, great product, great warmth

EXCELLENT baby thermal underwear. Inside super soft. wash well Both of my children were very warm during our drive to Mammoth (daytime temperatures on the slopes are around 40 degrees). I got the XS for my almost 4 year old boy (39.5 inches and 34 pounds) and they fit exactly as you would expect in a base layer - close to the skin but not too restrictive. I got the girls version in a small size for my tall 6 year old girl (47.25"/52lbs) and they fit great too but she will probably need a size…

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

Thick, doesn't run small like other brands.

6 brands, so many different brands of thermal underwear I had to try on for my son with SPD before we found this one. They are PERFECT, thick, soft and warm. With other brands my son had to order a size 12/14 even though he is a size 8 so they are now transparent. I made the mistake of ordering it in that size as well and it could easily have been smaller. I can't return them because he loves them too much but I will buy more for him in the right size. It's SO AWESOME to finally find a phat…

Great base layer for outdoor activities in cold weather!

I bought these in bulk for my 9 year old nephew and they were as expected from the description. He's a skinny kid but like all boys his age he's growing out of his clothes so I wanted something that would fit now and months or a year later. It's just that. He's a young Boy Scout and now camping gear makes a great gift for him, especially warm weather gear since he lives in the mountains of upstate New York. They form the perfect base layer. I will admit that this material is excellent at…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Big! Soft! Cozy! Favourite!

I ordered my son in anticipation of a trip to the snow. When we opened them up for him to try on, he immediately declared that he loved them. The inside is super soft and comfortable. In fact, he wore them like pajamas for a week and I had a hard time pulling him out of them. But when I had to wash them, I noticed that the "silky" (meaning polyester) outside had already started to curl. When I got them out of the dryer, the elastic band was already warped. I wouldn't expect them to survive a…
