Fits perfectly! in Building Materials

Fits perfectly! I removed the screw as unnecessary. It sits snugly underneath. Just what I needed if I had known of its existence many years ago! It would also be great if it was a few bucks cheaper but being durable enough I think it should last for many years. Before you buy, measure your rung size to make sure it's the right size for you!

Too small. There are no returns/refunds.

Too small for my downspouts. When I got them, I could immediately tell that they are too small. I assumed that all drain pipes were probably the same size. I bought four of these, only received 3 and now I can't return them. I wouldn't mind if one of the neighbors used them, but here they don't fit down anyone's drainpipe. I contacted the company via Amazon a few days ago and received no response.

Find the best solution.

Thought this gutter guard would be a good idea for keeping chipmunks off gutters. Great idea, poorly executed. Doesn't easily fit onto the end of a drain pipe without bending the edges. The screw that is supposed to hold the protective cover at the lowest point is practically useless. Go for the $12.99 price I paid. I see today it's $8.99 and I think it's too much for this item. The barcode sticker left a terrible residue on the top. There are better ways.

Excellent coverage with minimal additional downspout width

I have a downspout that is angled to the surface drain inlet on my pool deck (oriented this way due to the very tight space) that touches the brick surface. instead of going straight. I was afraid someone would slip and cut their foot, but I couldn't add gutter ends that made the gutter wider because they didn't fit. I added this for its own sake and it seems to be working great. I could even get it jammed when the drain pipe touched the open panel.

Pros
  • Tools and Household Items
Cons

When you hold this item in your hands, it is made of such a hard plastic that you cannot open it by the tabs as intended without a tool to pry the cover. A very complex installation, it had to be a bit more both in width and in height. Even 1/4 inch to each side would help. My gutter didn't end up being perfect, but no matter how I straightened it, the cap didn't fit. I ended up having to cut all 4 corners about an inch apart and then fold each of the 4 sides inwards. Still, it didn't fit well.
