I love the unique design of this filter. I also like how the water enters at the bottom and exits at the top. Let the charcoal particles fall inside. It seems to me that this way the water comes into better contact. I like that I have very little, if any, pressure drops. I will buy again.

Service and delivery were great but the filter has no gasket at the bottom making it difficult to install in a standard home - you really have to turn the crank to get it to get the body pressed against the ring. The media is also coarse, offering minimal filtration. Do yourself a favor and buy a higher quality filter - you can get real GAC filters for only twice the price of any filter.

This filter will first remove a significant amount of 'coal dust' covering all your sinks, toilets etc. It is very difficult to wipe off and will do so for many used gallons. Then it will do absolutely nothing to reduce odor or improve the taste of your water. This is a very inefficient system and I do not recommend it.

I'm trying to figure out what kind of person would do this with a product manufacture, knowing that it may not work as buyers intended, and yet advertise or imply that it will work. No carbon filter manufacturer could miss this, knowing that free carbon in the presence of pressurized water causes channels to form channels. These filters are half full and half air. so the price is twice as high. Due to the channels formed, the total filter capacity is close to zero, and this is not surprising…
