The choice of grit offered is small but I decided to give it a try. Used to restore headlights and this light work quickly wore out the grinding wheel. Worked well in a drill but the disc always seemed on the verge of weakening. Did most of the work and decided to finish by hand. All in all not a big deal.

I used this wheel along with a set of sandpaper to polish some aluminum wheels. It was perfect so for $11 it's a hell of a repair kit and the wheels look amazing. The wheel and pad are a bit too big for the rims so I cut the two outer rows of hooks off of both. The slices then hung a bit over the edge, which was perfect.

I'm not sure I can really use this product. The mandrel on my old sticky pad is .250". The mandrel of this product is 0.232 inch. It wouldn't be a problem if I used a drill, but considering I'm using a high-speed 20,000rpm tool, this might not work. The back also has a label that says 15,000 rpm, which is another problem. Foam pad and base plate are great. The washers that come with it aren't bad, but they break pretty quickly. The image also shows that different grains have different colors, but that is not the case. They are all roughly the same color with the 1k and 5k being a little darker and are only labeled in the little plastic bags they come in so very easy to find. mix them up if you have more than one of them open at the same time. I went to my local auto parts store and bought a set of nuts for $30 but the drill bit fell apart while grinding. But when I found this set and bought a separate bottle of nail polish, the Mothers set absolutely paled in comparison. Use all the sandpaper in this set, from the lowest to the highest grit (10,000). Beautifully designed, well made sole. The grinding wheels are ok but I wish they would grit the wheel. To be fair, each grit comes in its own plastic bag with the grit label attached. I used a headlight restoration kit on my GX 470, I thought the discs were very short lived, despite the high water consumption, every disc was good. just a headlight. I would like to think I know a thing or two when it comes to wet sanding car paint and restoring headlights. I bought this specifically so I could hand sand with a 3" velcro/velcro using these sanding sheets to restore the headlights.
