This product may work as described, but it is advertised as .

This product may work as described but in the pictures it advertises a 3M product and the product supplied is a generic made in China. I give 1 star for false advertising and I'm sure 3M will face trademark infringement issues.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Fake Fake Fake the best hardware

This smells like every cheap rip off I've ever bought from China and not from a legitimate source. Gives off a foul industrial smell, unlike what you would expect from #M. The seller seems to be dishonest by selling this and adding a photo of the 3M back. Doesn't meet 3M standards so it's fake or licensed from a crappy factory that doesn't live up to the level of a genuine 3M product.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Quality

Great glue for furniture pads

I put them on the bottom of my steel mug to keep it in place when I'm at sea. He has held up well. After months of traveling, daily washing in the sink, it's still strong and easy to grip. Of course I don't put it in the washing machine. I recommend. Edit: Put it in the washing machine and it survived. Still going strong!

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities

More like a hard, "flexible " plastic than rubber and not sticky at all

Not very sticky at all if you plan on bending the material at all. To be honest I thought it was a softer rubber since I used it to cushion the metal hinges on my bike rack that leans against my white car. At first I used insulating foam but all the movements of this cheap bike rack left sticky marks on my car so I gave it a try as it seemed like the best option. I was wrong. It's very thick, very difficult to bend, and feels more like hard plastic than rubber.

Excellent adhesion and thickness.

Adhesive is excellent although it had to be removed and adjusted. My RPS Hawk 250's fairing vibrated and rumbled loudly when I drove over 15 mph, driving me insane. I bought this rubber material and cut thin (1/2 inch) strips to glue to the gas tank as a buffer between the plastic trim and the metal tank. The thickness was perfect and it worked exactly as I had hoped: no more vibrating screen! While it was fairly easy to cut with regular scissors, a chord knife would have been cleaner.

  • Crumpled

This is exactly what you need

Despite what other people say, Revain sent me a genuine 3M product. Your mileage may vary. Used this to replace the rubber pads on my mechanical keyboard. When I saw the shiny rubber I was worried it wouldn't be as slip resistant as the old pads, but I can say with confidence that the 3M rubber is better than the one that came with the keyboard. The installation is very easy. Clean the area with a small amount of isopropyl/rubbing alcohol, trim with standard household scissors and apply. Thereโ€ฆ

High quality but not traceable base

This product makes an excellent padding as it does not compress as much as foam insulation. Tacky and sticky enough you can even apply a layer on top of each other to add thickness if needed. Used it to align the quick release swivel [carrier] clamps to fit my bike's handlebars as well as some 3 piece lights that would otherwise be too loose. Allows me to open and close the QR levers without having to twist them every time, wow! ๐Ÿ‘The only minor thing, the paper backing is too soft to write onโ€ฆ

Adds a grip to my cell phone

I'm clumsy so when I was spending over $1000 on a cell phone I needed maximum protection. I bought a high-end plastic protective case, but it was too smooth. I usually put my phone on the edge and it falls off when there's just a smooth plastic case. I couldn't find any cases that were sticky. This self-adhesive rubber was the perfect solution. I cut out a rectangle that fits the back of the phone case. It adds the perfect amount of stickiness and saves my phone from dropped stuff. I've had itโ€ฆ
