Great if you don't want to look silly with a shoulder or chest strap.

Pros: - perfect for my camera backpack - great for temporary videos and no need to hold a GoPro - quick release! Cons: - J-hook adapter was useless. Have tried several times to attach it. Unfortunately the holes didn't match. Maybe I just misunderstood. Luckily, you can use the Quick Release adapter that comes with your GoPro.

As advertised Accessories

Used during my recent trip to Thailand. Nothing has broken. I was afraid that the weight of the GoPro would cause the strap to slip off the backpack's strap, but it didn't budge. The only issue was that the strap tilts the gopro slightly to the right or left (depending on which shoulder you wear it on). I would have to turn the strap inwards so that it also points straight ahead. Basically it looks like 11 o'clock (left shoulder) or 1 o'clock (right shoulder). However, this probably depends on…

A great idea! to Camera & Photo

Works great. I have not slipped or walked in the snow through the forest (including going downhill) with the camera installed. My only criticism of the product is that there is no way to adjust the side direction that the camera is facing when mounted on the bracket. The vertical plane is easy to adjust, but the camera tends to point outwards, not in the direction I'm looking. Some of the videos I made were not centered due to this issue. Holds up well on my descent through the gorges, it slipped off the pack strap a few times but didn't when I went down which was nice. It only slipped when I had to aim the camera or swim in cold pools of water. The angle was good when setting up your GoPro for widescreen shots. If you have long hair, tie it up. Because my braids have caught the eye a few times and it's not the product. I had to pull a sock underneath because the velcro got in the way of my backpack strap and I like to keep the…

Leaves hands free

I found the gopro to sit too high with the rounded part of the included J hook and next to my cheek. The change in orientation and the presence of the letter J at the bottom allowed the camera to sit comfortably at chest level, leaving my hands free. It's very easy to use and a lot less obtrusive than some of my other mounts/straps. Practical as a shirt pocket.

Not much to say about this small item. It wraps around the shoulder strap of a hiking backpack or any backpack. I recently bought a GoPro 7 Black and used it on this camera mount. It worked very well. Now with onboard stabilization processing, the GP7 has virtually eliminated camera shake when walking the trail.
