Doesn't fit properly

I have a 2003 Wrangler 4.0 that should fit and the main pipe fits well and is good quality, my problem is the clamps are too big and won't tighten to the throttle body. , the screw no longer has a thread and is still completely loose. Another issue is that the rubber boot that connects to the throttle body is just a straight piece of rubber, not an angle, so it won't seat properly and will twist. Maybe the one I received was a previous return, or is missing parts that I don't know but will beโ€ฆ

Doesn't go well with Throttle Body Spacer

I wish there was a better description when it comes to installing this item. It is extremely difficult to install when paired with a heavy duty comb throttle body gasket. My kit was also missing a couple of washers; It would also be nice if ALL the hardware needed for installation was included in the kit. The fan shroud screw is reusable and this is a problem because on older vehicles some of the hardware will rust and become unusable once removed. On the plus side the photos were pretty goodโ€ฆ

installation nightmare major modification required

this kit did not fit my 2005 jeep wrangler 4.0l from the packaging i had to cut the aluminum intake pipe as the angle or bend was wrong, the cover supplied required a gasket on Intake manifold because it was too big and the yoke too big couldn't be tightened enough to secure or seal it and the hanger on the heat shield/airbox had to be bent and routed with rubber tubing because it was 5" and the inlet pipe is again only 3" dumb tech be aware i have over 30 years experience in mechanicalโ€ฆ

Very Rough Setup - Ram Air Kit

It was such a ridiculously complicated setup I could swear I was wrong. I have to read the label 5 times to make sure it says my brand and year. I had to redo the corner on the carb, even with the rubber bushing it was too far apart. Too high and the hood would not close. The clamp for attaching the bushing to the carburetor was too small. Bend all brackets to fit properly. In short, I don't mind paying for the "performance part", I expect it to fit without modification. If that's yourโ€ฆ

Suitable but not good

Looks great. I have to be honest the fit and instructions leave a lot to be desired. My son got one for his jeep. He complained that maybe because he added a throttle body gasket the fit was ruined. I do not agree. I think even without the spacer it still wouldn't fit as well as it could. The trunk, which mates with the throttle body, expands toward the driver as it heats up. I think when it gets warmer I'll try to change it to fit better. And the photos are of terrible quality, I'm still notโ€ฆ

Spend a little more and try a different brand.

I think you get what you pay for. The inlet "boot" is nothing more than a piece of rubber. The clamps provided are not small enough to tighten it on the inlet. I used an existing clamp from an old intake. The instructions look like they were copied from a copy that was a copy of another copy. Pictures are useless because you can't see what's going on through the grainy copy. It took 45 minutes of work to discover that the bracket holding the intake manifold was too big. I had to bend it afterโ€ฆ
