Great aftermarket update.

I can't wait for my torque wrench to fit it to the other steering upgrades I've installed. Looks high quality and is fairly easy to assemble. If there are problems after installation I will update them but I don't foresee them. Easy installation as you unscrew the stabilizer bar end links and then follow the instructions. I don't know how much this really helps because I just replaced and updated everything on the front of my 04 Ram and it's all sucked up.

Easy to fix screws and improved steering.

I like this product. It's heavier than the first one I bought which didn't fit. He didn't come from a rough country. I think I should mention that. In any case, the steering wheel has become tighter. It's also part of the mind that I won't experience a "death wobble". This is a very simple setup. Something not everyone will need: a grease gun and a large half-moon or plain-nose pipe wrench, ideally. Any average mechanic can do this in less than an hour.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Almost never

Reinforced at the front.

Used on a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 with "weak" steering gear. I went through a few because of all the twists. It always had super sloppy steering. Even after a complete frontend swap. This solved it. My tires last longer, the steering is firmer, no wonder. I wish I had made the best investment I've ever made in a truck sooner. Installation wasn't fun. Sounds easy when everything fits 100%. If you have the time, know-how and tools, this will save you a lot of trouble. Trucks are not cheap.

Great price, didn't fit

I tried two different versions and I really wanted them to work because the price was great but ended up sending them back because they didn't fit. The bracket that the bearing is mounted on was welded in one piece and was not aligned with the bipod shaft, even remotely. I ended up buying the BD Diesel version from Amazon for $215. It has slotted mounting holes where it attaches to the frame, where the bearing mount attaches, and where the bearing itself attaches to the mount. Save a few trips…

Can recommend using jacks or a second pair of hands.

After debating for so long whether or not I should spend money on something that might solve my problem, I finally did. I purchased this steering strut, watched a few videos of the installation process, and felt confident enough to try it out. The hardest part of the installation was removing the connecting rod nut. I borrowed a 33mm shock and head from my neighbors and it was off. The total assembly time was about half an hour. I can recommend using jack stands or a second pair of hands when…

  • Good but not great

The strut CAUSES my steering lock

A 3 inch jack was installed on my truck and I was warned it could cause steering lock. Bought these braces as a preventive measure. Installation was easy for 2 people. The nut had 2 problems. Problem number one is that it's impossible to find a nest deep enough and wide enough to hold a . Problem number 2 is that the R&D team dropped the ball and created this space in the nut that houses gear 2. In other words, it is impossible to fully tighten the nut. This means the link arm isn't tight…

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Obsolete model
