Very cheap product - fuel tanks and accessories

This "tank" is made very cheaply. The lid is difficult to unscrew and almost impossible to remove. The lid is leaking. It is better to do it yourself from a portable gas cartridge and a shut-off valve.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Some small things

Excellent quality.: Fuel tanks

This item has not yet been used. No need to rate. It is exactly as vintage describes it. Fuel bottle with valve and hose for connection to the fuel system when the engine is operated with the main fuel tank removed. I knew I was satisfied as soon as I took it out of the box. Received on time.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons

Trash that took forever to show up

Took 3 months to deliver. When it finally arrived, the hanger was nothing more than a Christmas gift ribbon, the hinges were rusty and the valve (like a cheap cast-iron bike faucet) was leaking inside and out. While waiting I ordered a Motion Pro which showed up and worked 100% with the best hangar, valve, hose and all a few months before this junk even showed up.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • No instructions

Exactly what I needed!

I bought one of these to tune up scooters and motorbikes. Ideal for diagnosing carbohydrate problems. I gave a friend a loan and he liked it so much I gave it to him and ordered two more for myself. I had no issues with the leak as others have mentioned. But I don't leave any gas in it. Just test and drain fuel. I love it and the price can't be beat. The seller is also very responsive to emails.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Modern

Reasonable price, good with small adjustments.

Not sure if this is a faulty batch but I received poor quality. The fitting and check valve leaked a few minutes after I filled it with fuel. (Ok I didn't want to mess around with a return, I took it apart and replaced the o-ring in the valve fitting. I also shaved off some plastic to lighten the cap. Keep in mind that the check valve fitting is reverse threaded. Modified estimate due to price and minor corrections to make it useful.) πŸ‘

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Very expensive

Apply thread sealant and you're done!

So mine was shipped from India and took about 3 weeks to get to me. When you open the packaging you smell a very strong plastic smell. I'm not sure if hose or pipe. Either way it's annoying. Based on other reviews complaining about leaks, I immediately removed the faucet and applied teflon tape to seal the threads (just like you find in the plumbing department). The "seal" the product uses is a simple O-ring that needs to be wedged between the bottle screw and the faucet screw. Unfortunately…

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Some crap in fuel tanks and accessories

****** UPDATE 3 MONTHS ****** So after using it as a fuel tank for work on motorcycles for about 3 months I have can honestly say. Buy something else.1. The amount of fuel it contains is far too little for anything other than a small tractor or motorcycle with a carburetor. 2. The cap doesn't fit at all and is a major annoyance when the bottle is full of fuel, leading to an act of juggling trying to unscrew the cap without spilling fuel. FAILURE3. The valve is not working properly. The rubber…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly dented
