Uneven wires

The photos clearly show the even wires. The actual product has an uneven wire spacing, 9/32 then 7/32, impossible to achieve an even ratio to control calories. The wires dangle, adding to the inaccuracy of a stick of butter, and some are even bent.

  • Brilliantly made

Bulletproof coffee is very easy to prepare with this

I finally have pieces of butter for my Bulletproof Coffee. If you're using Kerrygold or a similarly larger butter, simply turn it on its side first, chop, then place on a flat surface and use a knife to cut in half. I've wanted an oil cutter for a long time and I've finally made up my mind. Very happy with it. Absolutely perfect!

I really like it! in tools for cheese

Well, I admit it. I'm a gadget lover and found this handy gadget while looking for buttered corn. When preparing breakfast in the morning, I took out a pack of butter, folded paper, and then cut the required amount of butter into pieces. What I do now is open a small container, take the patties and tip them onto the pan. How convenient and neat! My wife didn't think I would buy it but from time to time I see her stealing a cake.

Big time saver! on Cheese Tools

I find this little gadget to be a real time saver when a baking recipe calls for "cubic" butter. Instead of doing the tedious work of dicing with a knife and gluing the butter to the blade, I simply cut a stick of butter into quarters lengthwise and then press them down with a slicer. Instant Cube! Note. The slicer doesn't go all the way through the stick of butter, but that's not a problem. Just run your finger across and press on the paper side of the wires and the cut will complete easily!

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Frequency

Does not cut all the way through

This device has curved metal tabs on the bottom edge that hold the cutting wires in place. This means it will stop slicing butter about 1/8 inch from the bottom of the stick when you press down. You can start cutting and remove the tool after partially cutting through, then turn the stick upside down and carefully line up the wires on top. Page and finish the cut, but it's still not as ideal as making a smooth cut through the entire stick, especially if a clean presentation is important to you.

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose

According to advertising and customer reviews Prime

Only used once at the time of this review. Used for western style (short length) buttersticks. The butter almost went through and I had to push it through from the back to separate the slices. It's a bit awkward to climb into a tray of butter while standing. Next time I'll try to keep a small stick of butter together and put it in the tray. Hopefully it's easy to separate the pads when needed as the pads should break easily. Washing hands was easy. Simply push through the oil after the oil has…

Clean and simple! - Kitchen and Dining

Didn't even know there was such a kitchen tool (I usually work with a home cook). . . But after meeting friends and seeing a stick of butter being used - I MUST have had it soft too (even if it's a single working dish!). Place the butter on a hard surface, paper seam side up, and open the butter wrapper so the stick is still on the wrapper. Push the slicer all the way in, then with the casing still attached to your butter scoop, turn the slicer and butter over and use your fingers against the…

Good well made crockery

I think this item is a bit overpriced. I thought it contained a saucer like the one in the picture. Obviously not, hence 4 stars. As for the thing itself, it looks good. Pressed metal base with cutting wire in a continuous loop attached to hooks, very similar to a velcro boot. I do not know the material of its construction. If it is tinplate, it may rust. If it's stainless steel, it should last forever. The ears that the user presses on can be their weak point. may fail after a few uses. Using…
