Unfortunately it didn't last very well. As soon as we added a rake, broom, shovel, and a few other items, it started tipping and has been tipping ever since. We're just waiting for it to fall. Typically with Rubbermaid products, the plastic can be expected to be somewhat brittle but still strong. In that case I think they need to add a "rear cross brace" to keep the top from tipping.

If you plan on storing some shovels, rakes, brooms, hoes, etc. ATTACH it to a wall or other hard surface. If not, it might fall. I bought this post and this corner post and both almost fell on a very expensive car. Physics is not in your favor. The weight of the tool in the rack is high, and without more rigidity and weight on the floor, it will tilt and eventually fall

I really don't understand how my experience with this product is so different from others who seem to like it. I would like to start by breaking down the impression that just because they are plastic they are fragile. As with anything, how well something works for you depends entirely on how you plan to use it. Due to the design of inserting long-handled items like brooms upside down, I think this suits the task well. If you intend to use it for heavy gardening equipment such as shovels, axes, pitchforks, etc. then no, this is not the right product and I don't expect to find anything strong for less…
