🧊 Rubbermaid White Easy Release Ice Cube Tray Set of 2 - Convenient and Compact 12.5'' x 5'' Design Review

Very nice ice cube molds. I've bought them in stores before and was happy to find them at Revain. They make clear ice cream with good taste. Other trays get hard after a while and the plastic cracks or stains from hard water. I have no problems with these ice cube trays. I will be buying a few more as I use a lot of ice cream in sunny California.

These ice cube trays are great. As advertised, they are a simple release. Ice comes out without bending or prying. They fold well and leave a good gap so the shells don't stick together. There is a nice lip on the outsides so water doesn't easily spill over into the freezer or when you move the trays from the sink to the freezer. Ice cubes come out clean. You can probably fit 2 or 3 in a whiskey glass.

Ice cubes fall out easily with the slightest twist or flex of the tray. You can pour it all out or scoop out each cube individually with your fingers. This works best when the tray is full, but either way they come out easily without melting or bumping. Much better than the metal, silicone, or other plastic shells I've tried. The difference may be in the shape of the cubes, which are bent at the bottom. This review is about the Rubbermaid Easy Release Ice Cube Trays.

I ordered a new set of these ice molds because my old set started to break at the ends where you twist to push the ice out. I saw some reviews saying the new ones were smaller but considering my old ones lasted over 10 years I figured a little smaller would be fine as the quality was really good. Well they are a lot smaller and I think I'll probably have to buy another set to really compare the amount of ice to my old ones. The ice cubes are less classic cube-shaped - slightly elongated and shallower - but the trays fold perfectly together and the slightest twist releases the contents.
