These collars are perfect for hardworking outdoor dogs and indoor dogs. The colors stay vibrant over time. The only time we've ever needed to replace one is because puppies grow and need to move to a larger size. Our dogs have had these collars for two years now and they do not show wear.

If you need a collar for an outdoorsy Male dog, this is it. Looks good on my brown goldendoodle boy. Like the feel of the material. There is a sound dampener on the tag holder; so, no jingle jangle.

Great collar design. Sturdy, nice weight, well constructed. The exception is the sewn on tag hanger. After a couple months I can see the stitching starting to loosen and it beginning to peel off. My plan is to get a D ring and slide it in the small gap beside the clasp in the grey section. THis should fix the only flaw I can find so far.I was a bit skeptical about the open clasp, but after seeing it in action I have no more concern. This is a very sturdy collar. Once adjusted properly you won’t lose your running dog. It’s our second collar (we had one for another dog), and it’s very durable. I would definitely buy another. All the Ruffwear products we have purchased have been excellent!

I bought this color after my puppy broke his other Ruffler color with the plastic snap closure. He's a German Shepherd so he's big and strong. His other color was great and easy to get on and off but one strong pull and the snap broke. I decided to try the metal closure the next time around. At first it was a bit tough to get on and off but we really don't take it on/off much anyway. I liked that factor too because it makes me feel like the color is more secure and won't slip off. I have two of these and have two others from a previous product line. These are very nice. No need to worry about the way the material wraps around the collar attachment, when on you dog it does not matter. Lays nicely and last for years for dogs that are moderately active.

As others have stated, the length adjuster makes the collar form a "D” shape rather than a circle, but otherwise seems great and lovey colors. Even came with a little rubber sound dampener if you don’t want your pet to jingle. Unfortunately I *do* want my pet to jingle so will have to purchase an additional tag to make a better sound

I bought this to replace the previous Ruffwear collar of the same version after constant use for 5 years. My dog does not like having his collar off so this has been on him since the day I bought it. The wear is exceptional, not digging in to his skin at any point, and the stitching stays put. Highly recommend.

We love this collar and the matching leash. The handle on the leash has a clasp feature which is great for easily hooking our pup up when out.
