Disappointed with Suspension Accessories

The quality of the shackles was poor, and they did not hold up well when used in an automotive setting. My analysis of this product showed that the metal was weak and bent under moderate stress, rendering them almost useless. While it's nice that they come in black, this did not offset their poor performance.

Pros
  • Comes in black
Cons
  • Poor quality metal, easily bent

Seriously thick but I had to touch up some paint from the box

Lovely braces, disappointed both almost looked like they had been installed and used once or twice maybe even fell off as the paint flaked off. Nothing a gloss black rustoleum wouldn't fix, but it didn't need to be done with brand new product straight out of the bubble wrap packaging. There is a star deduction for the condition. They are very durable and it is not apparent how any force reasonably applied to the vehicle could damage them if used properly.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • dull packaging

It's funny when the only way you can give them.

This is exactly what I have had to use with all other straps to restore cars after winter snow problems. "Paint doesn't stick," so get them out of the back of your truck or store them no more with your rusty logging chains. If it annoys you that the pin isn't 3/4" like everything else, you'll be glad to have it if the hole is exactly 3/4" and you wear studs. A pair of these in this size for this price elsewhere! I used mine on the wrench block in the attached picture.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • I will write later
