🚙 Rugged Ridge 17235.58 Switch Pod Kit for Jeep Wrangler JK - 4 Black LHD Switches, A-Pillar Mount - 2011-2018 Review

Not fit for newer Jeep Wrangler 2014. . I tried changing the bottom part that meets the dash as all the clips still match my 2015 jeep. However, the part protruding from the switches hits the dash and when I closed the driver's door for the first time after installing it, the plastic broke. Here's a photo of the barcode sticker that came out of the box, showing it doesn't go on anything over 2014.

I originally bought a fake which contained switches and let me tell you. The quality was terrible, the fit was terrible and the switches were miswired. Needless to say I am very happy to come back and buy this one. It fits like a glove, is perfectly finished and looks like it belongs to the JKU. Take your time while cutting out the blanks when installing the switches. My advice is invest in a really good precision knife and take your time, it's better to adjust than cut too much. For those Jeepers who want to make life easier and don't need to add adornment to the existing Jeep interior, this is a great product. Looks great, fits perfectly and blends very well with the existing Jeep interior. Attention: Switch positions are not pre-punched. They have the outlines of the switches on the outside, but are not completely cut through. Take your time, use a dremel tool (which is what I used) and you'll be cutting holes in no time. I gave this product 4 stars as it is a great idea to use the pillar area to extend the Jeep dashboard. However, I would rather pay a few bucks more to make an item with light pull out or rocker switch blanks. The longest and most difficult part of the installation was cutting out the holes for the switches. To do a good job you must be VERY CAREFUL when cutting holes. This worked fine for what I needed. I installed it on my 2015 JK and used CH4x4 rocker switches. I noticed some reviews that said the two metal clips required were not included, I had them in the kit. Installation was easy but take your time cutting out the cutouts for the switches. I used a dremel and cutting wheel for most of these, but finished the cuts with a razor. DON'T STOP. There are many reviews and many YouTube videos where people didn't cut the switch holes well and broke the plastic spacers or cut the hole too big. I probably spent an hour cutting these holes, but it was a good hour if you have to look at it daily. One poor guy even glued the parts back with super glue and the super glue discolored the board.
