Exactly what was needed.

The product came exactly as in the photo, which is a requirement for my application. The new 800 gph with check valve is too big. Well done Raven.

  • The best
Cons
  • Very expensive

Didn't work for me

The pump in the picture is not the one that was sent, it needs updating. the one sent was longer and had a built-in backflow preventer.

Really good product

This is the best I've ever used. Over winter into spring flows my boat! Can't find the source but the water needs to be removed. This product got him out of the hold and over the rail. No more buckets or sponges.

Pros
  • Hands free kit
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Quiet, strong, quality hold.

These are well made and more expensive bilge pumps, but they cost extra money to prevent overheating and/or complete destruction if run dry. Installation is easy, but the device can also simply be placed on the rear wall of the cargo area. Also very quiet.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Replaced 15 year old Rule bilge pump

My last Rule pump was at least 15 years old and still worked, but I wanted to upgrade to a higher GPH pump. The new rule fitted right into the old pump's filter base, so it only took 5 minutes to install. I can't even imagine the number of times I ran the pump dry because it was silent and forgot I had it on and it was still working great when I replaced it. So why should I change brands, a quality pump!

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for support and durability
Cons
  • Available in white only

Fits my old 500gph round base pump.

Glad to find this 800gph bilge pump, I had a 500gph pump that had frozen in a difficult spot. The mounting base was already permanently attached to the case, so all I had to do was swap out the 800 gph and connect the two wires. Note that the new style Rule pumps have a wavy base and are not interchangeable with the old round bases. It's ok if you don't mind installing a new base or having easy access to the installation site.

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Same as switch.

There have been some negative reports of failure after about a year but the product as received and used works perfectly. This was a replacement for the same make and model pump/switch combination from my 2007 23ft Proline center console. The boat was afloat and the bilge pump was inoperative - noticed a high water level in the hold after several days of rain. So after replacing it with a new kit (pump and switch) everything is fine. The old one lasted 6 years which I think is good for…

Pros
  • Quality construction
