Description of Rule 33ALA Marine Mercury 12 Volt

Consists of a float switch and an in-dash gauge that features both a visual and audible 85 db alarm. Allows an unarmed compartment to be constantly monitored. Complies with CFR 182. 530, which requires a visual and audible alarm in each unmanned space on commercial vessels at least 26' in length. For use with pumps with a current draw of up to 20 amps @ 12 volts. Size: 2-1/4" x 5" x 2-1/64". Sport type: Boating.

Works well but needs improvement

Automatic Float Switch works well and seems suitable for bilge operation. The alarm system looks cheaply made and, above all, it should be installed where it will not get wet. Call me demanding and suggestive. But it seems to me that if you make a marine environment flood alarm, you make it waterproof. but that's just me I wanted to install an alarm on the console but had to put it in an electronics box to keep it from getting wet.
