The BEST chalkboard paint ever!

This is by far the best (odorless) glossy soft paint! The company contacted me several times to see if I received my package on time and safe and sound so that extra touch made the experience even better. The paint was very smooth and full in the coat. I didn't have to layer like other colors because they are so watery. Would you believe I only had to use one coat on some of my closets! This color and PAINT COMPANY are my book favorites!

I liked it very much! The project turned out perfect.

I don't understand the bad reviews here. I followed the instructions to the letter. 1) Make sure you have a good base coat. 2) Allow 4 hours to dry between coats (I applied 3) 4) Allow 3 days to dry. 5) Prepare the board with the side of the piece of chalk. Voila! Works perfectly. One tip I would give is that I applied with a 3/8 inch hair roller for full coverage, then rolled back with a foam roller to remove excess and even out the layer. I used this product on a door which is a smaller…

Chalkboards everywhere!

I discovered the absolute beauty of the children's temporary creativity in the house. My current location of 5ft x 4ft under the kitchen/living room bar is amazing. This is the weirdest and most kid-friendly place ever. I'll probably paint every damn wall in the house and turn the whole place into an ode to chalk art anytime, anywhere. If I hate it, I'll delete it and start over. Wiiiiii! (Everyone who sees this wants to make it somewhere in their house or on objects. Enough to use. The product

Be patient! takes time

I love the dynamic that the chalkboard wall has brought to our office break room. It provides a great way for employees to connect with one another and basically gets people leaving notes of encouragement to one another - great for boosting morale and building a sense of community. This color is easy to apply, but I would suggest starting with a primer and applying thin coats. At first we only did two layers, and then we had to do more. Follow the instructions! It's important to let the paint…

Imperfect, sure.

Overall I'm pretty happy with the wall, but a lot of the reviews I've seen here are correct. It's far from ideal. I did a lot of research to get this right, so maybe some of the steps I took weren't necessary. Getting dressed hurt. I had to sand the wall and then eventually had to get a hand sander because I couldn't get it smooth enough. But when I drew this picture, it was pretty easy. I searched the internet and found the right type of foam roller, did 3 coats in 3 days. I waited a full week

  • Sleek design

  • Easy maintainability

People will be jealous

K Caramina had a good review but I'll add a little. I'm a subcontractor and I'm telling you this is amazing stuff. It's much more dramatic than hanging a finished board. This gets 4 stars instead of 5 because getting the perfect board can be quite a hassle. Yes, I'm a perfectionist and I came across a rented apartment with shabby walls. I had to start with two coats of drywall clay which I then sanded after they were dry. Then came another coat of primer. Then wall paint. It was all two days…

  • Absolutely amazing!

Chalkboard Wall: A Tale of Self-Hate

Ah, chalkboard paint. Let's see where do I start? *insert insane cackle here* So the other day I had a very brilliant idea to paint an entire wall in my kitchen with this material. Wait, don't judge me just yet—I didn't want to let my kids do this with a bucket full of sidewalk chalk. No, I envisioned a stylish wall full of beautiful holiday menus, cheeky quotes, inspirational poems, and other cute things. I blame Pinterest entirely for this temporary decline in sanity. Armed with Martha…
