I am using this with another Rutland sprayer. Works very well with the bristle brush on my glass fireplace. Had to try the "silicone" idea and wipe the soot off once it builds up. It works! I will use it every time I clean glass.

We use our fireplace insert regularly and Rutland Fireplace Cleaner is by far the best product. Effortlessly removes soot, creosote and residue from inserted glass. You must do this regularly and learn how to use the product.

This product is amazing! Photos before, after and further (the left door is finished, the right door just started). It worked wonders on an 18 year old pastry that I had tried all home remedies on (vinegar, wet soot). I still have to work on the tips, but most of this old glass is sparkling clean. Try it, it's worth it.

I use rubber gloves to rub and a paper towel to dry. I use it the day after every fire to keep deposits from forming because I don't think our wood has really aged.
