Work!: Network transceiver

Excellent quality. Bought two, they worked so got two more. Your documentation is perfect, concise and to the point. They should be able to talk to each other right away, but basically just give them an address: AT+ADDRESS=1234, make sure they're on the same network: AT+NETWORKID. = 2 and they should be able to communicate: AT + SEND = 0.5, HelloArduino sends 5V and RYLR896 receives 3.3V, so you need to level it to control it with Arduino. I would recommend buying two USB to TTL converters to…

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • A little change

It's not 896, it really is what is shown in the picture RYLR890

3 received, one was a replacement for a broken chip. Replaced with a known working circuit. Advise me to do this to avoid a whole lot of mental anguish. Chip 1 worked fine, chip 2 didn't work, chip 3 broke the antenna. - I think the packaging. The soldered antenna on chip 3 now works fine, was very loose and rotated freely. Chip 2, the resistor under the antenna is a very bad connection. Molten and now works according to the same scheme as before. Revain will kindly replace it, but it's not…

Sturdy little antenna

These are my favorite antennas! I use 6 of these together to communicate. They work great through thick walls and in over 100 degrees. You have to get used to AT commands.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Nothing

Works well, RF distance is MUCH less than expected

Good news everything works as described! All AT commands also work fine. Bad news: The maximum distance of 15km is full BS. I tested in my townhouse area, max RF distance is only 500ft or about 250m.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • No paint required

Two weeks use. No complaints

Looking for a reliable long-distance transceiver. Have used HC-12 successfully in the past but found the new ones useless nowadays due to frequency drift, bad clones everywhere etc. Wasted a lot of time and energy. Look for a range of around a mile and fine if the cost is a bit higher if reliable. Will update my review and rating after testing. **** To update. Switching to 5 stars - very easy to use, maximum range not tested but there are many youtube videos on it. You can specify the…
