No special tools required

This is a great buy if you need this option. Just note, YOU DO NOT NEED ANY SPECIAL INSTALLATION TOOLS! You can make your own out of a bolt, washer, and nut for a dollar or two. Search for PLUS NUT on YouTube. I had no trouble installing them this way.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Weight

Quality and easy installation

Was looking for a product that could be used to attach unbacked fiberglass fasteners no matter how corrosion resistant but properly sealed. I think they will do a good job for many years to come, easy to install with a cheap port freight riveting/riveting tool and arrived sooner than expected.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Concise instructions

Expensive, but it couldn't be easier or better.

Why drill holes in a van when you don't have to? Plusnuts are great for securing things. Very high traction and low profile. Installation of each positive nut takes approximately 12 half turns. I probably didn't need that much traction, but I wanted to be sure. The alternative are standard rivets, for which I would have to buy a rivet gun.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • Dodgy purchase for the elderly

It's not worth it. on fasteners

Direct comparison on flat steel test panel with standard rib panels available at significantly lower prices. Although the material used in these rivets is almost twice as thick as others, a twist test has shown that standard nuts hold better when twisted. When crushed, they form four (4) "wings" that hold them in place. The standard ribbed ones just fit the hole and seem to hold up much better. upset.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Available in white only

They are as advertised. Good catch range! BUT you will probably have to install them BY HAND as most hand riveting tools (like the ASTRO 1442) don't have a mandrel long enough to reach the threads. You'll probably need to assemble them with a 1/4" bolt, washer, nut, and some wrenches (stainless steel is recommended for strength)!

Pros
  • Ease of use
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Easy homemade installation tool!

It's great! Super strong for hanging overhead cabinets in my van. I'm attaching a photo of a simple installation method using a homemade tool - we take a long bolt, put a washer on the end, then some kind of socket to extend the length, then another washer, then a nut. Use a crescent wrench on the nut to hold it in place while using a drill to set the positive nut in place (see video). You will likely need to replace the washers after a few positive nuts as they will bend in the process. This…

Pros
  • One-year trial
Cons
  • Security
