Very satisfied with this product. For diagnosis of insects and plant diseases. Depending on your needs, you can consider additional lighting.

Great to discover nature!

I wanted my grandchildren to see the incredible nature that is invisible to the naked eye, so I asked my son-in-law, a science teacher, to recommend a stereo microscope. This Swift met all my expectations. It arrived on time and my granddaughters are fascinated by the close-up pictures of insects, the microscopic life of pond water, the structure of feathers, etc.

Ideal for home use

I use these stereo/anatomical endoscopes regularly for my PhD and this endoscope is good value for money. For $200 you get pretty good image quality at 20x and 40x, and 80x works just as well with some extra light. I bought this to play with the tardigrades at home and they are clearly visible even at the lowest magnification, quite visible at higher magnifications (but again, adding a flashlight to the scope's built-in illumination helps a lot). Good lenses and build quality, but the electronics let us down immediately.

As soon as we opened the microscope and plugged it in, the electrical transformer inside exploded after a few seconds rendering the light unusable. Swapping bulbs and fuses didn't help. There was little to no information in the manual but the mention that it was for 110-240v seemed to suggest it would fit our 240v New Zealand electrical supply but that doesn't apply to our unit, be it due to malfunction of the device. or this product is not compatible with our power adapter. Top and bottom lights / good for study sessions

Great product for school or home use. This microscope has good focus and is easy to use. To do this, place the sample directly on the beam path and switch on the illumination of your choice. Manually set the height to an approximate value, then use the right eye to fine-tune the mechanical setting. When you are focused, adjust the left eyepiece.
