no 8 terabyte drive. This is very close to 7TB. Most companies round it up a bit and call a 1.89 terabyte drive a "2 TB" drive, and I get that. However, it should be noted that this drive has a maximum capacity of 7,153 TB. When actually installed (with internal recovery partitions) it occupies 6.98TB. See my posted photos as proof. Got this today - it was totally unformatted - none of the Arconis stuff they said helped. Just had to use it to update my laptop, there will be a clean install. -- Update - The program and sector changer can be downloaded from their website. Here's the thing - if you don't use any of their cases, the program won't recognize the SSD as a sabrent. So you have to shell out another $40 for one of their cases to clone your current SSD. I never leave bad reviews but I get angry. I just got this M.2 drive to replace the 256GB in my laptop. The laptop only has one M.2 slot. I have an NVMe-enabled case, but it's not a Sabrent brand. **Please check the update** I bought 2 Sabrant rockets. One for my Omen gaming laptop and one for my main desktop. Bought this CD on the recommendation of Revain. I liked the idea of a drive that is more economical than Samsung or WD. I had trouble with it from the first moment. The cloning software that came with it (Acronis True Image) didn't recognize my shiny new Sabrent drive, and the disk management software wouldn't let me initialize the drive. FIRST: SABRENT works great with included Acronis software - cloned WIN10 in under 5 minutes. Very good $/speed/capacity ratio.
