8TB DRIVE IS 7.153TB

no 8 terabyte drive. This is very close to 7TB. Most companies round it up a bit and call a 1.89 terabyte drive a "2 TB" drive, and I get that. However, it should be noted that this drive has a maximum capacity of 7,153 TB. When actually installed (with internal recovery partitions) it occupies 6.98TB. See my posted photos as proof. Let me know if I've missed anything. Otherwise it's a great drive and works as expected. Thanks very much!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Be very careful: Hard Drive Enclosure

Got this today - it was totally unformatted - none of the Arconis stuff they said helped. Just had to use it to update my laptop, there will be a clean install. -- Update - The program and sector changer can be downloaded from their website. Here's the thing - if you don't use any of their cases, the program won't recognize the SSD as a sabrent. So you have to shell out another $40 for one of their cases to clone your current SSD. A clever trick. Update Their app came in today - it was easy to…

Acronis Software for Sabrent is a SCAM!

I never leave bad reviews but I get angry. I just got this M.2 drive to replace the 256GB in my laptop. The laptop only has one M.2 slot. I have an NVMe-enabled case, but it's not a Sabrent brand. The case works and I formatted the drive and the Sabrent control panel SEE THE DRIVE as Sabrent. I can see the condition and the serial number. When I go to clone, Acronis doesn't recognize it as Sabrent and doesn't install it. Anna, a Sabrent Support Engineer, seems to have already heard my sad…

Please check the update: Hard Drive Accessories

**Please check the update** I bought 2 Sabrant rockets. One for my Omen gaming laptop and one for my main desktop. After 2 months, startup and driver errors (especially the ndis driver error code) appear on my desktop. I'm not sure if it's a lemon or not, but whatever it is, I can't even load windows on it. I took it to a workshop to diagnose the problem. It turns out that the drive itself refuses to boot a fresh install of Windows 10. Since it only boots from another m.2 drive. I don't know…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Dirty pool, old man.

Bought this CD on the recommendation of Revain. I liked the idea of a drive that is more economical than Samsung or WD. I had trouble with it from the first moment. The cloning software that came with it (Acronis True Image) didn't recognize my shiny new Sabrent drive, and the disk management software wouldn't let me initialize the drive. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I was quickly contacted by support but recently the solution was that I had to buy a Sabrent brand case ($45) for the cloning

  • Slim design

A good deal turned into an epic saga

FIRST: SABRENT works great with included Acronis software - cloned WIN10 in under 5 minutes. Very good $/speed/capacity ratio. Let's see if my new HP ENVY lasts longer than my HP 1TB NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 that gave up the ghost within a year. So far, so good. Go Sabrent! UPDATE: The component died after 17 hours of operation. Very short lived. Come back for a replacement to see if it was an accident or if it's really that bad quality. Upgraded to one star. Will be updated again! UPDATE 2: Sabrent…

Reliable Cheap Upgrade for MacBook Pro Mid 2015

Cheapest Brand NVMe 1TB. QLC there I could find. Absolutely outperforms the 256GB Samsung SATA-based SSD that comes with the MacBook. You'll need one more mounting screw (not included in this pack) NVMe QLC durability not battle tested yet, but for the price I think I can live with backing up my data once a week to a time machine on the NAS drive makes a solid drive Impression, there are no bumps on the board due to cheaper manufacturing, the board at the top with the company logo is not a…

Realtek RTL9210B based case with great build quality

There are two important things to consider when looking for an SSD case: chipset and cooling. I'll leave the discussion of cooling to other reviewers who may spend a lot more time testing and talking about the chipset and overall build quality. TLDR: This body is the trustee. There are three major chipsets on the market today: JMicron JM583, ASMedia ASM2362 and Realtek RTL9210. This case, at least the version I received, includes the Realtek chipset. Specifically, it includes a soft version…
