Works as advertised with a little tweaking

Amazing product. This required the following adjustments: 1) A clean, smooth stone (3 ounces) attached to the base with hot melt to prevent the product from floating; 2) Built-in air valve to control airflow.

Incredible farting dinosaur?

I don't know what's wrong with my friend, but he's not deflating his mouth like he should. I've tried adjusting the angle at which it sits, etc., but it lifts up and then ejects all the bubbles out of its back. This creates a pretty interesting effect, but I'm pretty sure that's not what it's supposed to do.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Cute but hard to stay in place

Super cute but had a hard time stopping him from swimming. I had to bury a lot of gravel at the bottom and put a small decoration on top to keep it from detaching from the bottom of the aquarium and floating to the top. The air pump isn't that strong, so don't think that's a problem. I like that the tongue is constantly moving, it seems that he is singing, which my daughter loves. The eyes also light up under different LED colors, which is a lot of fun. Basically, I like the work. I just wish…

  • Slim design

I love love love this decoration!

I have had aquariums installed constantly for the past 40 years and have had my fair share of useless aquatic decorations and many of these last for years. I hope this is one that lasts. What I didn't immediately notice was that a piece of cellophane tape was holding his head. I discovered it after about 10 minutes underwater. Once removed this toy worked great. His body moves up and twists slightly, then sinks back into the shell. The bubbles also move his tongue. Very beautiful!

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Unsure

Awesome aquarium decoration

The title says it all but I suggest you bury the dinosaur because it will swim on top of you. I use a small rock on the back to solve this problem and hide the air line. I also use an airflow regulator/restrictor on the line and let it bubble every 30 seconds or so. Mouth bubbles are not overly explosive and overpowering like some of the larger bubbles that open and close. The eggshell has sharp edges, but my fish won't get close. I wouldn't mind having a dinosaur on my desk two or three times!

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Obsolete model

Very cute dino toy! Looks great!

I love this little dino toy and it will make a fun addition to my 10 gallon fish tank. In order for it to work properly, I had to install a valve to regulate the amount of air being fed to the dinosaur. Too much air and it won't go in and out of the shell. It works just like the videos on the web if you can adjust the airflow. I have a sandy substrate in my tank so I push and bury it in the sand to keep it from floating. If you don't have enough gravel or sand to bury this toy it will float but
