Good enough to bike in Seattle in the rain!

Excellent backpack. I bike around Seattle and so far this pack has kept everything inside dry (the reflector is also very bright). My last pack, which was also waterproof, had so much fabric on the outside that it dries slowly when wet which leads to bad odors - the BackSak doesn't have that problem so I'd recommend it for a different bike. passengers. It has good padding on the back and wide shoulder straps that are comfortable for long periods of time. It's huge too - loads of room for…

Fits everything, solid construction, flat pack

Fantastic bag. I've taken mine (light yellow, gorgeous!) to Mexico and Costa Rica to use on the beach, jungle, and other wet places where I need to carry cameras, clothes, phones, etc. Unmistakably it's a BIG bag to hold a lot of stuff BUT it folds down to a more compact size by folding the top down and then tightening the side straps. This makes it larger than the average backpack. Everything about it seems very well made, from the straps to the zippers to the material. When traveling, it can…

Great waterproof backpack!

When I received the backpack, the first thing I did was put a roll of kitchen paper in it and closed it. I soaked the pouch in a water bath for 15 minutes, took it out, opened it and found the paper towel was completely dry. I will say that some water got into the front pocket but that doesn't bother me as I won't be using the front pocket. I also liked the size and depth of this bag as it is very large and deep. That's more than I really need, but I've decided to keep such a miracle product to

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Functional, sleek, packs a lot, cool.

I received this bag for a train ride from Canada to Southern California. I'm very happy with it so far. You can put a lot of things in it in different configurations because it doesn't have many compartments. I use small holdalls to organize my stuff in and it works really well. I have the light gray version and it fits me no matter where I am or how I'm dressed - it's street-legal enough to go hiking and smart enough to go to a decent restaurant without looking out of place. That's convenient.

  • Ease of use

Better than I thought, hard to improve the design

I really liked this bag. I took him with 8 kids to SVI/USVI for 17 days on a sailboat. I liked the size and the material, but here's what I really liked: - The outside pocket is just the right size for your wallet and phone, you don't have to reach into it - The inside pocket is well designed and holds certain items underneath the Pocket. - Soft frame is very comfortable. I've done a few hikes with literally all that crap and it hasn't been a problem - Can be washed off if sand/sunscreen…

Almost perfect for dry bags

I use it to bike to and from work in almost daily rain with things that obviously don't get wet. When I first got this out of the box I was concerned that I would be too big. I have a ridiculously large (ie old) work laptop. This bag swallows him. And my raincoat. And boots/shoes. However, it only really does justice to the load due to its design. It's also fairly comfortable and easy to adjust, which I often do depending on what I'm wearing. So with all that, I'm very glad I got the larger…

  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Hard to say

I love my bag! - Boating

I bought this bag because I was traveling to Costa Rica and a lot of articles/blogs I've read about traveling around the country said you should have a dry bag so you can carry your camera or valuables do not get wet. because in many areas one is inevitably surprised by the rain. My trips were in September and October (the rainiest months of the year). My purchase was for a 25 liter bag. I thought maybe that was too little as I didn't have a picture in my head but now that I have one I think 35

Great backpack! I liked it so much that I bought a 2nd one! :)

LOVE this 35L backpack. I bought it in bright yellow! :) I was planning a sailing trip from Oahu to Maui and needed a good duffel bag to pack my stuff. When the boat capsizes things can sometimes be thrown around. Cabin soles can get wet so I wanted something to keep all my stuff dry but it was still a reasonable price. The last time I sailed to Maui I made the mistake of using a regular duffel bag which resulted in some of my clothes getting wet on the inside. This time I wanted a stuff sack…
