🌞 Samlex Solar PST-1000-12 PST Series: High-Quality Pure Sine Wave Inverter for Efficient Solar Power Conversion Review

What a great inverter. I installed this in my Prius to use as a backup power source in the event of a power outage. The Prius will drive it for days. The energy from this device is very clean. I found that I could turn on my fridge, TV, computer, some lightbulbs, and my ham radio with no problems. The device is well made and looks very nice. I definitely recommend this to everyone. My relative bought one of the cheaper inverters and it doesn't work as well as this one.

W) a pure sine wave (PSW) inverter worked fine on the same circuit for about a year (I needed more amps so I bought a samplex). My multimeter showed that the circuit had a lot of resistance, so there wasn't a short. I disconnected everything in the circuit except the inverter and it still didn't work when connected to the circuit. Samlex has a very good reputation for reliability and durability, but something is wrong with the unit I received. I returned it and bought a Giandel 1200W PSW…

I use it to power two small fridges while we tow the RV down the road. Each refrigerator draws about 750 watts when starting up and then drops to 150 watts during operation. I know it's too much for the mileage but I need more at the start. I'm using about five feet of 4 gauge wire to disconnect it from a 31 series AGM battery. I would probably use 2 gauge wire next time to power the unit, but I already had 4 gauge wire installed from my previous smaller inverter when I was just using a fridge.
