🔩 Samsung DC97-14875B Series Front Flange Shaft Assembly Review

Everything we needed to fix a literally rotten part on our Samsung washing machine. Haven't swapped out any nearby parts while running (bearings this part rides on, drum seal or hydraulic shock absorbers) and so far so good. Happy to find a replacement part, not happy with Samsung quality.

My washing machine drum was unbalanced, it turned out that one of the levers on this cross was rusted and cracked. Whether or not a $700 washing machine was supposed to last 5+ years, disassembling and replacing this mechanism saved me from buying a new machine.

Fits perfectly but I read the previous review of PRIMER and PAINT before installing, I think it was a GREAT idea, the previous one is totally torn to pieces! It was a design flaw, think about it, all that soap and other contaminants working for me feels like the most needed part!

Perfect fit and extends the life of my washing machine. Samsung washing machines are notorious for having cracks in the lower back, so I expect this part to do the same over time, but the first one did for ten years. So if I get another ten years for a spare, I think the time will definitely come for a spare.

Excellent quality item. However, I would strongly recommend machining the aluminum prior to installation. I ordered a can of zinc chromate and a can of silver aviation paint. I washed the part with hot soapy water and let it dry completely. This removed oil and dirt allowing the zinc chromate to properly bond to the aluminum. Then sprayed with silver paint. This offers good protection against corrosion by dissimilar metals. Stainless steel drum, galvanized steel bolts and aluminum cross. That's
